Something we’re delighted to share…

Welcoming Rachel Ferguson and Seonaid Wells

We are delighted to welcome Rachel Ferguson as CALM’s new Learning and Engagement Manager. Rachel will lead our work to connect more deeply with families and to ensure that lived experience is not simply included but genuinely shapes the evolution of CALM’s programmes and practice.

Rachel brings over a decade of rich direct support and leadership experience across NHS mental health, family mediation, community development, child protection, and services supporting children and families with disabilities. Her professional background reflects a lifelong commitment to supporting people through compassion, clarity, and connection.

Alongside this, Rachel brings skills in coaching, mentoring, autism-informed and inclusive practice, and extensive experience of co-production with people who use services; ensuring voices are not only heard, but are central to decision-making.

What stands out most about Rachel is her warmth, grounded presence, and relational way of working. She brings curiosity, steadiness, and a genuine belief in people’s strengths, which fits beautifully with CALM’s ethos. Already, her influence is helping us deepen our learning offer and strengthen the relational heart of our work.

We are so pleased to have Rachel with us, and we know many of you will feel the benefit of her knowledge, kindness, and collaborative approach in the months ahead.

We are delighted to welcome Seonaid Wells to CALM as our Digital Administrator. Seonaid brings over 20 years of experience in retail and retail management across Scotland, along with a degree in Fashion Business. Her background has equipped her with exceptional organisational, customer care and communication skills, and we are already seeing how much she brings to CALM.

Although her title is Digital Administrator, Seonaid’s contribution stretches far beyond this. She offers thoughtful and responsive support to our online learners and is a reassuring presence for the whole CALM team. Seonaid is also currently studying counselling skills, a reflection of her naturally caring, compassionate approach and her commitment to supporting others.

If you take part in any of our online learning, you may have the pleasure of being supported by Seonaid, and we are so glad to have her with us as CALM’s digital learning continues to grow.
